Scientists have developed an innovative online tool that can estimate how effective prescribed BP medicines will be for individual patients, paving the way for more personalized treatment.
The “Blood Pressure Treatment Efficacy Calculator,” designed by researchers from The George Institute for Global Health in Australia and India, is based on data from nearly 500 published studies covering more than one lakh participants.
Published in The Lancet, the study highlights how this tool can guide doctors to choose medicines according to the exact reduction in blood pressure required for each patient, making treatment safer and more precise.
