Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mizoram’s first railway line, marking a historic milestone in the state’s connectivity. The new line not only connects Mizoram to the national rail network but also promises to boost trade, tourism, and socio-economic growth in the region.
As part of the launch, the Prime Minister also flagged off the state’s maiden Rajdhani Express, linking Aizawl with the rest of India more efficiently. Officials highlighted that the project will reduce travel time, improve accessibility, and open new opportunities for the people of Mizoram.
The inauguration of Mizoram’s first railway line is being seen as a major step toward strengthening Northeast India’s infrastructure and integration with mainstream development initiatives.
