President Droupadi Murmu, Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik greeted people on the occasion of Nuakhai, the popular harvest festival of western Odisha.

Nuakhai, which means “new food”, is celebrated by offering the season’s first crop to the goddess and seeking blessings of elders. President Murmu, who belongs to Odisha, sent her special wishes to the people of the state and Indians across the country.
