In a strategic push to globalize India’s traditional medical systems, the Ministry of Ayush has inked 25 country-to-country Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). These agreements aim to –
- Enhance exports of AYUSH ministry products,
- Foster international research collaborations, and
- Promote India’s traditional practices in abroad.
These bilateral MoUs comes under AYUSH ministry International Cooperation Scheme, which also includes 52 institute-to-institute MoUs and 15 AYUSH Chair agreements, further strengthening global academic and practitioner networks

Officials say that this effort will not only open new markets for Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and related systems but will also position India as a leader in the validation and adoption of traditional medicine internationally.
