The Indian AYUSH sector—covering Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy—is on its way to becoming a ₹16 lakh crore industry, Union Minister of AYUSH Prataprao Jadhav recently revealed.
He highlighted that the government is pushing AYUSH into global markets by supporting startups, boosting research, and promoting Ayurveda-based exports. The growing popularity of herbal medicines, yoga, wellness retreats, and preventive healthcare is driving this massive growth.
India as Global Wellness Hub
Demand for Ayurvedic and herbal products has seen a steep rise internationally. From the US to Europe and the Middle East, countries are embracing Indian wellness traditions for healthier lifestyles.
Health + Economy
The AYUSH boom is not just about better healthcare—it is also fueling India’s economy and rural employment. Ayurvedic product manufacturing, wellness centers, and herbal farming are creating new opportunities across states.
“AYUSH is India’s gift to the world. It’s about keeping the healthy well, and helping the unwell recover naturally,” said Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav.
