The Government Ayurved College in Dharashiv has started a clinical research project to explore an Ayurvedic treatment for treating hemophilia, a rare inherited bleeding disorder.
About the research
- The trial involves an Ayurvedic formulation named “Raktamrut”, prepared from five traditional herbs known for supporting blood health.
- Around 100 hemophilia patients will be part of the study.
- The research will be carried out over 180 days, with regular follow-ups through medical camps.
Why it matters
Hemophilia patients often depend on expensive allopathic treatments and frequent blood transfusions. If effective, this Ayurvedic formulation could provide a safer and more affordable alternative.
